Happy Chinese New Year! At MTDL, we’re looking forward to embracing this Year of the Tiger with bravery, wisdom and strength!

A Carpet Cleaning Tip from Our Expert

If you enjoy red wine, you’ll want to read on for an easy solution for stains from our Carpet Guru, Dylan. We call on Dylan when customers are needing an Add-On service to their home or office cleaning:

Hi everyone, my name is Dylan Kuhtze of Sovereign Cleaning Services. I’m a specialist carpet and upholstery cleaner, working Auckland-wide. I started out on my own a couple of years ago, having worked alongside my step-father in his carpet cleaning business on and off since I was a kid. Over the years it’s fair to say I’ve learned a thing or two, and I take great pride in my work.

I know for many out there, red wine spills are terrifying as the stains are notoriously difficult to treat, so here are ways how to deal with them yourself:
Step 1: Keep paper towels stocked up and go for them immediately.
Step 2: Dab at the spill repeatedly, and don’t be afraid to chew through the paper towels if need be. They are biodegradable. Dab until you can’t get any more moisture out, even with extreme pressure.
Step 3: If there is still a mark, get regular table salt and heap it on. Seriously, heap it on. This gets into the cracks and draws the wine out of the fibres and up to the surface.
Step 4: Leave for a few days, after which it can easily be vacuumed away and you should be left with a completely stainless patch!

If failing all of that, you are still left with a mark, then get in touch with the My To Do List Team to schedule an appointment. You might be amazed at what Dylan is able to fix. You might also be surprised by the results he can achieve with upholstery. So if that couch of yours is starting to look a little shabby, maybe consider just getting it cleaned instead of putting up with it until you can afford to get it re-upholstered or replaced!

Cancellation Policy at My To Do List
In the event that you have to cancel your MTDL cleaning service, we ask that you do this by 3pm the day before your scheduled visit. Our schedules are carefully organised and we block out a time just for you for each clean! Any late cancellations may incur a fee to cover any costs associated with your service.

Thank you for all your ongoing support and understanding, we are so appreciative of all our customers and are excited for a strong 2022!

Nga mihi,

Pam
